I regretfully admit defeat.
I did not cross the finish line ala Tour de Fleece 2008. (There were also, by the way, two separate competitions going on, which I did not learn until about Day Three. Whoops.)
Between a death in the family, a college roommate's wedding, a family reunion, a crazy work schedule and a religious experience in the form of a concert (Go! Buy his music now!), I've hardly accomplished any knitting this month.
A soft, side-to-side scarf knit with Louisa Harding Thalia and Kimono Angora Pure, Frog Tree Alpaca and Pima Cotton and Elsebeth Lavold Silky Cashmere. Kits soon to be at Inish Knits.
A pair of Plain Jane socks with Noro Kureyon Sock. Scratchy as it is, Eisaku Noro does things with color no one else can touch.
And in anticipation of fall, Sea Wool in "Pumpkin".
I'm still chugging away at October Frost, too--the cabled cardigan from my favorite book. It will be perfect in a few short months.
I hate to wish away summer--and I'm not--but a chilly evening cozied up in front of the fire with a pile of wool? Heaven.
