I haven't given up entirely on knitting. I cannot deny it--spinning has me in a fierce grip. But I still found a little time this week to knit, too.
Two sleeves at the same time. This is the first time I've done this, and it is not what I would consider "fun". With each sleeve, you work across three different charts per row. By the time I untangle everything at the beginning of the row, re-orient myself to the chart I should really be looking at and rip back my mistakes (arg! the increasing!), it's time to pack up again. But. I'm getting there--this is one full repeat. And I imagine I'll be
wearing displaying this sample by October 1st.
I'm at the heel flap. Looks like this sock (along with a few choice beverages) will be joining me tomorrow on Lake Leelanau. We'll be playing tourists and renting a float boat, which, if I do say so myself, sounds like a pretty perfect end to a pretty perfect summer.
Happy Labor Day!
